There is something so special about photographing a surprise proposal. The excitement, the nerves, and that moment when everything suddenly clicks into place.

This proposal took place at the beautiful Heythrop Park in the Cotswolds, a venue surrounded by stunning gardens and elegant architecture, making it the perfect setting for such an unforgettable moment.

These two met while temporarily living in the UK and built a relationship that led them to this day. Wanting to make the proposal extra meaningful, he carefully planned every detail. He even managed to convince her to wear a white dress without giving away what was about to happen!

As they walked through the grounds of the manor, she had no idea what was coming. Then, in front of one of the most beautiful backdrops in the Cotswolds, he got down on one knee and asked the question she'd never forget.

The answer was an easy yes.

One of my favourite parts of photographing proposals is capturing genuine emotion. There's no posing or rehearsing—just real reactions, happy tears, laughter, and excitement. Afterwards, we spent a little time exploring the grounds for some relaxed engagement portraits while they enjoyed the moment together.
